We dream beyond the noise, with an echo of the sea’s waves in the background. Between broken concrete and iron blocks, the construction site becomes, for a moment, the rocks on the beach in Marseille or a sports field for training.
"Das Meer" and "Der Lauf" are attempts and invitations to linger and make public space our own. While a bike path is being built on Praterstraße, we transform this not-yet-place into a space to stay and ask ourselves: How does one move in the in-between space?
This series was created as part of the cooperative project "WIE WIR (NICHT) LEBEN" with Arbeiterkammer Vienna.
As feature of the eponymous urban exhibition, which was on view from June 26 to September 1, 2024, at various locations across Vienna, DAS MEER DER LAUF was presented in FAKTory und as premovie in the programme of VOLXKINO.
