1000 Years of Delusion
The work deals with processes of transformation—of human bodies and architecture. The development itself is the desired goal, with interim states as notable results. What makes a place a home? What significance does the question of home have for the relationship with one's own body and personal spaces? Bodybuilding, house building, unbuilding?
Depicted is my family in my house in the countryside during its renovation. Together, they create forms with their bodies. What role do relationships play in the creation of a home?
The shoot was repeated with my friends from Vienna. Different bodies create different processes.
This series was created as part of the cooperative project "WIE WIR (NICHT) LEBEN" with Arbeiterkammer Vienna.
As part of the eponymous urban exhibition, which was on view from June 26 to September 1, 2024, at various locations across Vienna, TRANS*FORMATIONS: In-Be-Tween was presented in the windows of U-Bahn Bogen Ottakring iin 1160 Vienna.
