Cooperation with Arbeiterkammer Wien

20 PHOTO- AND FILM PROJECTS
FOR A MORE EQUITABLE USE OF URBAN SPACE

A cooperation between the Class for Applied Photography and the Vienna Chamber of Labor (AK Wien)

"WIE WIR (NICHT) LEBEN" translates the concerns of AK Wien regarding fair housing policies into artistic concepts: students create visual analyses of urban spaces, raising critical and individual questions around topics such as living conditions, equality in public spaces, vacancy, real estate speculation, neighborhood, and solidarity.

The resulting projects are applied in diverse ways, developing potential for broad societal impact: as part of the visual communication for the Chamber of Labor and as an extensive exhibition in both indoor and outdoor spaces, guiding visitors throughout the entire city. Accompanying the exhibition is a special edition of the AK’s "Stadtpunkte" (City Points) study series, which also serves as a catalog for the citywide exhibition.
